Two Ywarthargyi dry ports handle over 50,000 tons of cargo

The two dry ports in Ywarthargyi, opened November 2018 in Yangon have handled over 50,000 tons of cargo as of early May, according to Myanma Railways (MR).

They are owned by Resources Group Logistics Co. Ltd. and KM Terminal & Logistics Limited and opened on November 11, 2018.

Resources Group Logistics Co. Ltd. spent US$24.26 million to build Ywarthargyi dry port and US$24.75 million to build Myitnge dry port.

KM Terminal & Logistics Limited, a joint-ventured company of Kerry Logistics Network Limited and Mother Logistics Co. Ltd., invested US$55 million to build Yangon dry ports in Ywarthargyi.

Resources Group Logistics Co. Ltd. is run 18 rounds of freight train running from Ywarthargyi to Myitnge and carried 5,994 tons of cargo from November 2018 to at the end of January. It runs nine rounds of freight train running from Myitnge to Ywarthargyi and carried 3,152 tons of cargo in the same period.
